Catahoula - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula, for Theresa Girouard Broussard, 84, who passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall in Catahoula from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Monday and continue at 8:00 am until 1:30 pm on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Carolyn Boudreaux. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Theresa Girouard Broussard was a gentle, kind and loving woman. Her love for her family had no bounds. She was a care giver and nurturer who lived the life she had without a complaint and always a smile. She will be truly missed by all who had the privilege to not only know her, but love her. Theresa loved to read and enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino. She is survived by two sons, Marshall (Berda) Thibodeaux, and Glenn (Lisa) Thibodeaux, all of Lafayette; two brothers, Clarence Girouard and Paul J. "Junius" (Mildred) Girouard, all of St. Martinville; five grandchildren, Shawn, Nicole and Chad Thibodeaux, Lynn (Maurice) Primeaux, and Christy Schell; and five great grandchildren, She is preceded in death by mother, Margaret Bourque; her father, Albert Girouard; two sons, Michael Thibodeaux, son, James Broussard; two brothers, Magil and Euclid Girouard; and five sisters, Anastasia Lasseigne, Martha Thibodeaux, Evelyn Savoie, Anna Rutledge, and Anne Thevenet.
