Thetra Ann Mercier

Breaux Bridge- Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Thetra Ann Mercier, 39, who passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Thetra worked at the University Medical Center for 10 years as a secretary. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and taking care of her family. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Harold of 20 years, her children, mother, father, brother, family and friends. Survivors include list her husband, Harold Abraham of Breaux Bridge; her father, Edward Mercier, Jr. of Breaux Bridge; her mother, Rose Marie Landry Mercier of Breaux Bridge; her daughters Ebonie Ashia Abraham and Haylay Ahlea Abraham both of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Edward Mercier III of Breaux Bridge. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Lester Landry, Sr.; her paternal grandparents, Edward and Agnes Mercier, Sr.; her uncles, Paul Mercier, Sr., Raymond Mercier and Norman Mercier; her aunt, Louella Mercier Patt. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pallbearers will be Reginald Guidry, Dwayne Simon, Adam Mercier, Bradford Landry, James Anthony Abraham and Kevin Jude Henry. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Abraham, Edward Mercier, Jr., Edward Mercier III, Lester Landry, Jr., Ricky Landry, Michael Landry, Larry Landry, Lawrence Abraham. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
