VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Thomas Elmo Hebert, 60, who passed away on Sunday, May 03, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Msgr. J. Douglas, Courville, JCL, Pastor of St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church, will conduct the services. Gift Bearers will be his grandchildren. Thomas was a Mason and a Shriner. Thomas enjoyed fishing, cooking and cutting grass. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends. He started the first Cypress Island Christmas Parade. He also enjoyed driving his 1973 Caprice Classic Convertible. Survivors include his wife, Glenda Durham Hebert of St. Martinville; his sons, Thomas Elmo Hebert, Jr. and his wife, Mandy of St. Martinville and Joshua David Hebert of St. Martinville; his daughter, Monique Martin and her husband, Matthew of St. Martinville; his grandchildren, Hannah and Jude Martin, Gabrielle, Mary Grace and Hunter Hebert. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Elmo Hebert. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Tommy Hebert, Josh Hebert, Matthew Martin, Craig Authement, Randall Authement and Carroll Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Jude Martin and Hunter Hebert. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
