St. Martinville - A Memorial Service has been postponed and will be held at a later time at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Thomas Anthony Patin, Sr., 84, who passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Maison de Lafayette.
Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate at the Memorial Service.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Thomas was a veteran of the United States Army who honorably served his country during the Korean War. He worked with Southern Pacific Railroad for 27 years and this is where he met some of his dearest and closest friends who became like family to him. As a pastime, Thomas enjoyed fishing, RVing, entertaining his friends while camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jessie L. Patin; daughters, Mitzi Broussard and husband, Stephen of Youngsville, and Patrice Fraser and husband Devin of Canton, GA; sons, Todd Patin of Beaumont, TX, and Thomas A. Patin, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Flaggstaff, AZ; brother, Irvin Patin and wife Marie of St. Martinville; sister, Ruby P. Robin of Henderson; grandchildren, Meagan B. Kozma, Alysa B. LeBlanc, Calvin Smith, Katy Patin, Kohlton Patin, Ethan Fraser and Jacob Fraser; and his great grandchild, Asher Kozma.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jamine and Jeanette Keith Patin; brothers, Ernest Patin and Jim Patin; and his sister, Gladys Brasseaux.
