New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Monday, December 31, 2007, at St. Peter Catholic Church, in New Iberia for Timothy James Derouen. 52, who died Saturday, December 29, 2007 in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.
Rev. Mark Derise will be the Celebrant.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Timothy was a Chief Information Officer for Regions Insurance. He enjoyed fishing, watching college football, and doing projects around his house.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne LeBlanc Derouen of New Iberia; mother, Vernice Laperouse Derouen of New Iberia; son, Jeffrey Derouen of New Iberia; daughter, Nicole Derouen Eastin and husband Teddy Eastin, Jr. of Broussard; sisters, Wanda Derouen Trahan of Maurice, Georgette Derouen Durand of St. Martinville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Perry Derouen; brother, Michael Derouen; grandson, William Eastin; maternal grandparents, Expadie and Adele Laperouse; paternal grandparents, Telesmare and Nola Derouen.
Pallbearers will be Kevin LeBlanc, Dean LeBlanc, Wendall Trahan, Edgar Durand, Calvin Begnaud, and Bill Quinlan.
Honorary pallbearers include Tom LeBlanc, Sr., Richard LeBlanc, Alton LeBlanc, Rene St. Upery, and James Patout.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until 1:30 PM.
