VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Todd Bertrand, who passed away on Friday, September 5, 2008, surrounded by his family after a long battle of diabetes. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Msgr. J. Douglas Courville, pastor of St. Martin de Tours Church, will conduct the services. Readers will be Jasmine Bertrand-Vale and Bliss DeCourt. Gift Bearers will be Dixie Bertrand, Jene' Bertrand and Tyler Bertrand. A native of St. Martinville, Todd managed Possum's Restaurant. He never met a stranger and enjoyed being around people. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and music. Survivors include his wife, Maria Thibodeaux Bertrand of St. Martinville; his mother, Patricia Lastrapes Bertrand of St. Martinville; his son, Tyler Bertrand of St. Martinville; his daughter, Jene' Bertrand of St. Martinville; his brothers, Larry "Possum" Bertrand, Jr. of St. Martinville, Toby Bertrand and his wife, Lamar Landry of St. Martinville, and John Bertrand of Denham Springs; his sisters, Debbie Landry and her husband, Al of St. Martinville, Elizabeth Bertrand of St. Martinville and Robin Neuville and her husband, Scott of Loreauville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Joseph Bertrand, Sr.; his grandparents, George Lastrapes, Verna Bourque, Stephen and Mathilde Bertrand. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Monday, September 8, 2008 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Ian Bertrand, Dylan Bertrand, Scott Neuville, Al Landry, Andy Theriot and Ray Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearer will be Forest Bertrand. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Baton Rouge LA Office, 2644 S.
