New Iberia Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, October 10, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Tommy James Estelle, 56, who died on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in Arnaudville.
Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
A native of New Iberia and a resident of Arnaudville, Mr. Estelle was born on January 8, 1958 to Thomas and Ola Derouen Estelle. He worked for Cajun Sugar Co-Op for 15 years, and he enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Trahan Estelle of Arnaudville; daughter, Terri Trahan of Arnaudville; son, Jeremy Trahan of New Iberia; granddaughter, Jasmine Thibeaux of St. Martinville; four brothers, Buddy Estelle, Sr. and wife Susie of Lydia, Jimmy Estelle, Sr. and wife Lisa of New Iberia, Dickie Estelle, Sr. and wife Lacie of New Iberia, Ricky Estelle and wife Debra of New Iberia; two sisters, Tammy Brisco and husband Linn of St. Martinville, Peggy Wyble and husband Keith of Arnaudville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Estelle; grandmother, Anna Bell Derouen; godchild, Jimmy Estelle, Jr.; great niece, Keirstyn Lanclos; great nephew, Bert Estelle.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Estelle, Sr., Patrick Lanclos, Jr., Jesse Thibodeaux, Dickie Estelle, Jr., Curtis Estelle, Joseph Owens, and Keith Wyble.
Honorary Pallbearers include Buddy Estelle, Sr., and Jeremy Trahan.
