Toni Martin Hammond

New Iberia - A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Toni Martin Hammond, 69, who passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Rev. Mario Romero will officiate. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 am. A resident of Lafayette, Toni Martin Hammond was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on October 21, 1951 to the late Oscar and Yola Fitch Martin. She was a 1969 graudate of New Iberia High School, where she was a member of the Jacquettes Dance Team. A wonderful mother and grandmother, she enjoyed playing bingo, painting, knitting and watching cooking shows, but what she cherished most was spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed. Toni is survived by daughters, Paula (Marshel) Montalvo of Cankton, Nicole (Kevin) Noel of Lafayette, and Erika Wheat of Lafayette; son, Mike Bourque of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Max (Samantha) Martin of New Iberia, and John (Shelley) Romero of Loreauville; eight grandchildren, Zachary Noel, Logan Noel, Madison Noel, Brittany (Trent) Trahan, Stephanie (Tre) Hollier, Ava Jock, Sidney Wheat, Dawson Montalvo; and six great-grandchildren, Lyla Noel, Miya Clouse, Hunter Clouse, Jay Caffery, Linkin Hollier, and Lucas Hollier.
