Tony Alton Thomas, Sr.

Saint Martinville - Mass will be held at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in Saint Martinville, for Tony Alton Thomas, Sr., 47, who passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at his residence. Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reader will be Jade Thomas. Gift Bearers will be Terril Thomas and Logan Thomas. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Saint Martinville. Tony was an avid outdoorsman who mainly enjoyed hunting in the Sherburne Wildlife area and fishing everywhere he could. He loved going to the camp on weekends and was most dedicated to work on weekdays. Tony also enjoyed cooking especially barbequing. He loved his family more than anything and was over the moon to find out that he was going to be a grandfather. He is survived by his spouse, Lisa Ann Poirier Thomas; his mother, Mary Ann Barras Thomas; his son, Tony Alton Thomas, Jr. (fianc Shelby Jones); daughter, Heather Nicole Thomas (fianc Jafet Espinoza); brothers, Troy (Dolan) Thomas, Terril (Amanda) Thomas, Howard (Jade) Thomas; his brother in law, Rodney (Amanda) Poirier, Jr.; his sister in law, Jodie Poirier; his grandchild, Erika Espinoza (due June 2015); his nephews, Trey Thomas, Trent Thomas, Justin Thomas, Donnie Thomas, Logan Thomas, and Daylon Poirier; his niece, Katy Poirier; and godchild, Trent Thomas. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Thomas and an infant brother. Pallbearers will be Troy Thomas, Terril Thomas, Howard Thomas, Trent Thomas, Jafet Espinoza and Justin Thomas.
