St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Trent J. "Bubba" Roberts, 34, who passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 7:00 am until 9:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Ricky Huval and Shawne Taylor.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Trent honorably served his country in Afghanistan while serving in the United States Army. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and soccer. He loved playing video games with his son and dancing with his daughter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Robin Amy Roberts of St. Martinville; son, Aiden Roberts of St. Martinville; daughter, Cadence Roberts of St. Martinville; father, Chris Roberts of Duson; mother, Donna LaPorte Roberts of St. Martinville; sister, Meagan R. Thibodeaux and husband Seth of St. Martinville; paternal grandmother, Susan Huval Roberts; and maternal grandmother, Madeline Bourque LaPorte.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ralph Roberts; maternal grandfather, Frank LaPorte; and great grandparents, Adam “Coulou” and Edola Thibodeaux Roberts, Elton and Pauline Dore Bourque, Galbert “Duce” and Ella Berard Huval; and Joseph C. and Lydia Roy LaPorte.
Pallbearers will be Keith Roberts, Josh Roberts, Daniel Hebert, Matthew Robicheaux, Curtis Gardemal, Travis Roberts, Terry LaPorte, and Micah Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Roberts, Dale LaPorte, Aiden Roberts, Seth Thibodeaux, and Chris Roberts.
