New Iberia - Private memorial service will be held for Trenten "Buck" Belden, 75, who passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015, in Lafayette.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia.
Deacon Theo Landry will officiate at the Memorial Service.
Interment will be at a later date.
Mr. Belden was born on December 31, 1939 to Florence "Tuttie" Giannonatti and Robert Belden in Buffalo, South Dakota. A veteran of the Army, he worked in the oilfield for many years. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and working on his yard. He also found joy in visiting friends, traveling, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Belden of Saint Martinville, son, Robert "Jay" Belden and wife Chanda of New Iberia, daughter, Janna LeBlanc and husband Lance of New Iberia; grandchildren, Justin Hobbs, Chelsea Hobbs, Kelsey Belden, Casey Belden, Rachel Belden, Trenten Belden, and Matthew LeBlanc; six great-grandchildren; sister, Dawn Gress and husband Dennis of North Dakota, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Garrett George Belden; two sisters, Carol Diane Belden and LeOne Hayes; one granddaughter Chloe Belden.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made toward the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300 Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
