A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Trey Joseph Comeaux was born on October 1, 1991, to the late Blane and Jacqueline Boullion Comeaux. He was a force of nature—a welder by trade, but an adventurer at heart. Trey embodied what it meant to live fully; filled with a spirit of adventure and a fierce independence, he walked through life with an undeniable smile and sense of humor that could lighten even the heaviest of hearts.
Trey was known for his electrifying energy, a true live wire whose presence sparked joy in everyone around him. His strong will and stubborn streak mirrored the love he held for those dear to him—especially his beloved daughters, Taylee and Tamryn.
As someone who took pride in being true to himself, Trey delved into the world with a sense of purpose. He had an insatiable curiosity, often tinkering with engines or immersed in music, always eager to figure out how things worked. He was a self-taught seeker of knowledge who did not look to others for answers but approached life’s challenges with an adventurous spirit, determined to carve out his own path.
His journey in life was shared with the love and support of his family. Trey's brothers, Trevor, Trent, and Seth, and his nanny, Rebecca stood by him, fighting for him until the very end. Their bond was unbreakable, filled with shared memories of laughter and love.
Trey is survived by his two daughters, Taylee Jaye Comeaux and Tamryn Jane Willis; brothers, Trevor Comeaux (Jennifer), Trent Comeaux, Sr. (Ashley Gary), and Seth LeBlanc (Ray); his nanny who raised him, Rebecca LeBlanc (Kenneth Derouen, Jr.); paternal grandmothers, Shirley Darby and Carol Comeaux; beloved grandmother of his children, Tyra D. Vital and her parents, Norma and Don Vital; beloved in-laws, Tristen Jefferson Vital and Tallie Vital; aunts and uncles, Cindy Boullion Broussard (Mike), Earl Boullion, Jr. (Bernadette), Johnny Theall Breaux, Chris Darby (Stacey), and George LeBlanc, who also helped raise him; great aunt, Loujean Trahan Derouen; nieces and nephews, Brianna Comeaux, Trent Comeaux, Jr., Tyler Comeaux, Tripp Comeaux, Henry Leggett, Pierce Comeaux, and Presley Comeaux; and numerous cousins, including Brandi Romero (Andy) and Jodi Fremin (Brandon), who were like sisters to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life and mother of his children, Tranaci J. Willis; paternal grandfathers, Norman Comeaux and Floyd Darby; maternal grandparents, Inez Hebert Boullion and Earl Joseph Boullion, Sr.; and aunt, Sandra Boullion Breaux.
Though his time with us was too short, Trey leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and strength that will be cherished by those who loved him. His adventure may have ended, but his memory will live forever in our hearts. May he rest in peace.
