Troy David Guidry

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Cecilia for Troy David Guidry, 44, who died on Sunday, July 22, 2007, as a result of a motorcycle accident. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Fr.Broussard, pastor of St. Joseph Church, will conduct the services. Gift bearers for service will be his children, Cameron and Alison. Troy enjoyed motorcycle riding, horseback riding and spending time with his family and friends while sharing his sense of humor to bring laughter in the air. ?He played college football at Northwestern State University. ?He worked at Pellerin Marble and Granite, Castille Marble and Granite, and was self employed in the trucking industry. Survivors include his parents, Lloyd and Adelle Calais Guidry of Cecilia; his maternal grandmother, Marie ""Malute"" Calais of Cecilia; his children, Cameron Troy Guidry and Alison Rae Guidry, and their mother, Annette Castille Guidry, all of Lafayette; his brothers, Joe Guidry, of California and Donald Guidry, of Lafayette; his sisters, Shannon Johnson and her husband, David, of Lafayette, and Renee Guidry and her husband, Mickey Lanerie, of Cecilia; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lanley ""Fuzz"" Calais; his paternal grandparents, Claude T. Guidry and Blackie Guidry, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence ""Buster"" Vitte and Claire Olivier Vitte. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 pm ~ 11:00 pm, Tuesday, July 24, 2007 and continue at 7:00 am, Wednesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Donald Guidry, Mickey Lanerie, Dane Huval, Dirk Angelle, Jared Capritto and Joe Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Eliot Johnson, Derek Johnson, David Johnson, Damon Gaubert, Michael Gaubert, and his biker and trucker family. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
