Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 12, 2019, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson for Troy "Moto" J. Dugas, 53, who passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday.
A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 pm on Friday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Calli D. Blanchard and Deidre Dugas. Gift Bearers will be Carter Chevalier, Emma Fontenot, and Ethan Fontenot.
Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson.
"Moto" enjoyed having a good time and fixing and riding dirt bikes and motorcycles. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Dugas of Breaux Bridge; son, Hunter Dugas of Mississippi; sisters, Marla Dugas Hebert and husband Mark of Cecilia and Deidre Dugas of Henderson; brothers, Gene Patrick Dugas, Jr. of Henderson, and Todd Dugas and wife Mary of Cecilia; grandchild, Carter Joseph Chevalier of Breaux Bridge; and Godmother, Cheryl Carmichael and spouse Bob of Dallas, TX.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Patrick Dugas, Sr.; mother, Jenny Moran Dugas; and brother-in-law, Walter J. Betancourt.
Pallbearers will be Kip Collette, Brian Landry, Gene Patrick Dugas Jr., Todd Dugas, Mark Hebert, and Denis Girouard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carter Chevalier, Trent Hebert, Jaxon Dugas, and Josh Verret.
