Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Ty Henry Colar, 27, who passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:30 am until service on Sunday.A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Sunday by Larry Breaux.Rev. Terrence August will officiate at the Funeral Service. Ty was born on September 6, 1994, to Carroll and Sindy Colar where he was raised and resided in Breaux Bridge, LA. He passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, after a four-year battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. Ty was a Christian and accepted Christ at an early age. He graduated from Breaux Bridge Senior High where he played baseball and was a drummer in the band. Following high school, Ty joined the United States Army and became a Para Trooper where he proudly served his country until he became disabled. He was an excellent mechanic and was always willing to give a helping hand with any project. He loved the outdoors, especially when he would hunt and fish with his father and grandfather. Ty was a wonderful father himself, and enjoyed spending time with his two boys, Camden and Elijah. He loved his family more than anything and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.To Camden and Elijah: Always remember Daddy will always be your best friend.Acknowledgment: When it seemed that our loss was too great to bear, we looked up to find our family and friends there, with flowers and words written and spoken, with faces smiling and hearts open. You comforted us and shared our grief. Our gratitude cannot be adequately expressed with mere words, but they are the best that we have to offer in saying “Thank You” for lifting the cloud and letting the sunshine through. May God show His blessings on each of you.He is survived by his parents, Carroll and Sindy Colar; sons, Camden Colar and Elijah Talbot; sister, Tatiana Sykes (Robert); brother, Taylor Colar; and maternal grandfather, Shirby Blanchard.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Lois Blanchard; and paternal grandparents, Henry and Ethel B. Colar.
