Tyler Jude Bonin

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 11, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville for Tyler Jude Bonin, 23, who passed away April 4, 2024.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and will continue on Thursday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM on Wednesday.

Father Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Loreauville.

Tyler was born on September 29, 2000 in Lafayette. Tyler enjoyed all things outdoors. Hunting, fishing, mud riding... The original "Wreck it Ralph", if it had a motor, he could tear it up. And if it needed tires, he would just take his dad's. He was a hard worker and was fiercely protective of the ones he loved. A huge heart hidden behind a mischievous grin and bad-boy attitude, he will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his daughters, Brinleigh Claire and Cypress Lynne; his parents, Egbert Bonin (Jordan) and Tasha Latiolais (Travis); his brother, Austin Bonin; his paternal grandparents, Nicholas Bonin, Sr. and Mary Hebert; his maternal grandparents, David Theriot (Bridget) and Jennifer Smith (Pete); his maternal great-grandmother, Betty Guidry; Godparents, Nicolas Bonin, Jr. (Gena) and Tania Mitchell; uncles, Robin Bonin (Pamela) and Tanner Theriot; aunt, Tiffany Reed; and cousins, Josie, Tori, Lexi, RJ, Lindsay, Taylor, Makenzie, Zach, Bailee and Taylon.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Steven Mitchell.

Pallbearers will be Austin Bonin, Tanner Theriot, Willie Chatagnier, John Michael Theriot, Cole Coco and Trevor Romero.
