Ulidelay Augustine

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated ;at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Ulidelay Marie "Poopay" Augustine, 45, who passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at her residence. Fr. Keenan Brown will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Kendsley Augustine and Perry Jones. Gift Bearers will be her daughters. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Ulidelay was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Cornerstone and held licenses in C.P.R. and childcare. She had a strong faith in God and devoted herself to take time to reflect and pray daily. She was also licensed in Ministry for doing Missionary work and served as a religion teacher for several years. Ulidelay enjoyed going dancing, cheerleading, and being a part of the Cecilia High School Band. She never met a stranger - she loved people and just loved making them happy. Survivors include three daughters, Kendsley Augustine, Christian Henry, and Alizah Robertson, all of Arnaudville; her fiance, Joseph Robertson of Arnaudville; her mother, Mary Jane Broussard Augustine of Arnaudville; her father, Doris Day Augustine, Sr. of Breaux Bridge; ;her brother, Doris Augustine, Jr. of Arnaudville; two sisters, Laura Duhon and Jenitta Major, both of Lafayette; and a grandson, Layvin Keith Jacob Brooks of Arnaudville. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alexander and Laura Kelly Broussard; and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Gladys Augustine. Pallbearers will be Perry Jones, Doris Augustine, Jr., Hubert Augustine, Joseph Robertson, Marcus Robertson, and Oliver Joseph. Honorary pallbearers will be Doris Day Augustine, Sr., Donald Broussard, Dwayne Broussard, Cody Boutte, and OBrian Savoy. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
