Ulysse Jr. Bonin

New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, February 5, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Ulysse Bonin, Jr., 73, who passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018, in New Iberia. Interment will be at a later date. Rev. Keith Landry will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 12 noon until 3:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A native of Jeanerette, Mr. Bonin was born on January 19, 1945 to the late Ulysse Bonin, Sr. and Bernadette Guillotte Bonin. He was a sugar cane farmer, and he enjoyed watching western movies, squirrels, his dog, Angel, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Mona Myers Bonin of New Iberia; daughters, Annette Davis and husband Glenn of Pasadena, Texas, Angel Olivier of New Iberia, Brittany Bonin and husband Nolan Bonin of Cade; sons, Alfred Bonin and wife Ellen of St. Martinville, Paul Bonin and wife Christine of New Iberia, Joseph Bonin of Shreveport; sister, Rita Broussard of Jeanerette, LA; half brother, Harold Bonin, Jr. of New Iberia; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lilly Mae Foco, brother, Harold Bonin, Sr., son, Christopher Bonin.
