Ulysse "Chuck" Lopez

New Iberia – Private services will be held at a later date for Ulysse "Chuck" Lopez, 82, who passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018, in Lafayette. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Lopez was born on August 30, 1936 to the late Clodore and Naomie Comeaux Lopez. He worked as a plumber for years and his hobbies included horse racing and playing boo-ray. Survivors include his daughters, Sherrel Bonin and companion Dexter Miguez of New Iberia, Ramona Decoux and husband Eddie of New Iberia; sons, Michael "Lee" Lopez of New Iberia, Thomas Lopez and wife Raven of North Carolina; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and his former wife, Thelma Peltier Lopez of New Iberia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, C.D. Lopez. The family would like to give special thanks to JoAnn Segura for her care and compassion.
