Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Ulysses Antoine Latiolais, 75, who died on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at his residence.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2, in Breaux Bridge.
Rev. Fr. Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Church, will officiate at the Funeral Mass. The reader will be Monica Boudreaux. Gift bearers will be Kyla Alexander, Malana Latiolais, Joni Choate, and Felicia Alexander.
Mr. Latiolais served in the Army National Guard, in Breaux Bridge. He was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church and participated in the Chapel of Perpetual Adoration. He loved gardening, camping and hunting - he was a man of the outdoors. He also loved playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Richard Latiolais, of Parks; three daughters, Rena Latiolais and husband, Randy "Blue", of Parks, Janet "Peppie" Boudreaux and husband, Walter, of St. Martinville, and Ellen Choate, of Breaux Bridge; two sons, Floyd Gray and wife, Sylvia, of Bourg, and Benny Gray, of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Ronald Latiolais, and wife, Yvonne, of Lafayette, and Donald Latiolais and wife, Hazel, of Nina; two sisters, Genevieve LeBlanc and husband, Jr., and Verna Mae Wiltz and husband, Felix "Pete", all of Breaux Bridge; 12 grandchildren, Benton Gray, Jackie Latiolais, Shannon Alexander, Brian Gray, Jason Gray, Kurtis Latiolais, Dietra Gray, Brooks Delahoussaye, Ted Boudreaux, Monica Boudreaux, Anthony Choate, and Joni Choate; and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Angelle Thibodeaux Latiolais; and two sisters, Madeline Brasseaux and Yvette Latiolais.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Sunday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening.
Pallbearers will be Ted Boudreaux, Benny Gray, Anthony Choate, Jason Gray, Kurtis Latiolais, and Beau Delahoussaye.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
