Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2006, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Varnum J. Boucvalt, Sr., 83, who died Thursday, September 14, 2006 at his residence.
Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. Donald Leger, pastor of St. Bernard Catholic Church, will conduct the services.
Survivors include his sons, Varnum Boucvalt, Jr. and Lance Boucvalt, Sr., both of Slidell; his stepsons, Dr. Kim Edward LeBlanc of Metairie and Dr. Karl Andrew LeBlanc of Baton Rouge; his stepdaughter, Kay Guidry of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lee C. Boucvalt; his parents; Jerome and Edith LeBlanc Boucvalt; and his brother, Glenwood Andrew Boucvalt.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Kim Edward LeBlanc, Dr. Karl Andrew LeBlanc, Varnum Boucvalt, Jr., Lance Boucvalt, Sr. and Lance Boucvalt, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St., Ste. 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.
