VeeVil Angelle Ray

Cecilia Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for VeeVil Angelle Ray, 90, who passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia. Fr. Michael Delcambre, will conduct the services. Scriptures will be read by Marella Theriot. Gift Bearer will be Wanda Ray. Pope Huval will provide music at the service. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Cecilia. VeeVil loved collecting dolls and enjoyed cooking, gardening her flowers, fishing, and reading. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. VeeVil was a devoted Catholic. Survivors include her son, Michael Ray; her daughter, Madeline Ray; a lifelong friend of the family and regarded as a son, Russell Dohman; and her sister, Jeanette Jeoffroy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Ray; her parents, George and Inez Collette Angelle; her daughter, Betty Marie Ray; and her brothers, Connie and Robert Angelle. The family would like to give special thanks to the loving care given by Tute Lasseigne and Linda Theriot and all the staff at Heart of Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made for Masses in VeeVils name to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
