Verina Theresa Romero

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 31, 2005, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Verina Theresa Romero, 76, who died Thursday, December 29, 2005 at her residence in Breaux Bridge. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Romero was a member of the Catholic Daughters and a Eucharistic Minister for the homebound and St. Bernard Church. She was also a member of Court Alice Boucher Catholic Daughters. Survivors include her sons Patrick Romero of Breaux Bridge and Neil Romero and his wife Tanya of Breaux Bridge; her daughters Priscilla and her husband John Boudreaux of Broussard, Angela and her husband Chris Latiolais of Mandeville, and Andrea and her husband John Smicker of Brusly, LA; her brother Roland Breaux of Breaux Bridge; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Shelby Joseph Romero; and her parents, Joseph and Electa Thibodeaux Breaux. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 AM till 10:00 PM, Friday, December 30, 2005 and continue at 7:00 AM, Saturday, December 31, 2005 until time of service. A Catholic Daughters rosary will be recited at 3:00 PM; a rosary will also be recited at 7:00 PM, Friday, December 30, 2005. Pallbearers will be Troy Romero, Todd Romero, Tracy Romero, Ryan Boudreaux, John Smicker Jr., Chris Latiolais, John Boudreaux and John Smicker Sr. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
