Verna Mae Jones Carron

Cecilia - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for Verna Mae Carron, 71, who passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday. Fr. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Verna enjoyed cooking, baking, dancing, shopping, and going to the casino in her spare time. She also loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving sisters, Lillian Jones of Houston, TX and Annie Lou Jones Borel of Shepherd, TX; her grandchild, Rhonda B Lee and her husband, Tremaine; and a great grandchild, Trenity Lee. She was preceded in death by parents, Samuel Jones, Jr. and Mary Mae Jones; husband, Joseph Carron; son, Cleo Patrick Carron; daughter, Carolyn Carron; sisters, Della M. Noel, Mary L. Jones, and Annie Mae Jones; and brothers, Samuel Jones, Albert Jones, Sr., Wilbert Jones, Sr., Wilson Jones, Sr., and Wilfred Jones, Sr.. Pallbearers will be Roosevelt J. Noel, Jr., Clyde Noel, Wilbert Caddie, Ernest Calais, Carlus Broussard, and Clyde Noel, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be David Caddie, Gervis Benjamin, Earl Benjamin, Byron Noel, and Adrien Noel.
