Veronica Faith Pesson

New Iberia – A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Calvary Bible Church in Centerville, Louisiana for Veronica Faith Pesson, 68, who passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025. 

Veronica Faith Theriot Pesson was born in Centerville, Louisiana on March 29, 1956, to the late Barney Theriot Sr. and Hazel Ashley Theriot. She leaves behind a legacy woven with love, creativity, and the joy of simple pleasures.

Veronica enjoyed quilting and taking care of her plants. However, the cornerstone of her heart was her beloved cats. Her world revolved around her feline friends. She treated each one as a member of her family. In turn, they provided her with endless joy and companionship. 

Mrs. Pesson is survived by her loving husband, Lonnie Pesson; sister, Sandra Theriot; brother, Barney G. Theriot, Jr. (Charlene); brother-in-law, Chris Pesson (Jessie); sister-in-law, Kim Wike (Wes); and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Roy Theriot, Barbara Woolbright, Janice Sherman, Ethel Hownstein, Carl Rodney Theriot, Dalton Theriot, and Flavia Raye Dumnesil. 

Veronica’s legacy is one of creativity, love, and connection. She leaves behind memories intertwined with the laughter and warmth she brought into the lives of others, forever imprinted in their hearts. May she rest in peace.
