Vickie Romero Lasserre

Youngsville A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Vickie Romero Lasserre, 59, who passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 in Lafayette. A rosary, led by the Mens Rosary Group, will be prayed at 7:00 PM Wednesday at Pellerin Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date. A resident of Youngsville, Vickie was born on April 8, 1958 to the late Joseph Charles Romero and Aline Delahoussaye Romero, and was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High. She had a long career in banking with Whitney National Bank and later went on to work at home in the computer programming field. Vickie lived a full life of family and fun, and was always the life of the party. She was always well dressed and always giving of herself. Vickie was a true friend and a great sister. Survivors include her son, Colby Lasserre of Youngsville; silblings, Gene Romero and wife Marcia of New Iberia, Audie Romero of New Iberia, Roddy Romero of New Iberia, Todd Romero and wife Wendy of New Iberia, Stacey Romero of New Iberia, Marlo LeCamus and husband Kevin of Youngsville, Kelly Romero and companion Jamie Bourque of New Iberia; several nieces and nephews; 1 great nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and a beloved aunt, Ida Romero Naomi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
