New Iberia ;- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Victoria Fremin Dugas, 84, who died Sunday, September 6, 2009 in New Iberia. ; Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. ; Rev. Mark Derise will be the Celebrant. The readings will be proclaimed by Trudy Romero and Brandi Briggs. Gift Bearers include Ryeley Broussard, Linzi Romero, Lacy Touchet, and Carsen Matthews. ; Born on September 8, 1924, Mrs. Dugas enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed. ; Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Alden J. Dugas of New Iberia; daughter, Mary Joyce Romero of New Iberia; brother, Leroy Fremin of New Iberia; sister, Margie Babin of St. Martinville; grandchildren, Troy A. Romero and Lacy Touchet, Trudy A. Romero and Matt Romero; great grandchildren, Ryeley Broussard, Brandi Briggs, Linzi Romero, Devon Briggs, Keegan Romero; great great grandchild, Carsen Matthews. ; She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph "Nini" and Luietia Touchque Fremin; daughter, Barbara A. Dugas; sisters, Marie Derise, Flora Mae Fremin, Rose Mae Landry; son-in-law, Alton "Pete" Romero. ; Pallbearers include Troy A. Romero, Matt Romero, Harold Landry, Louis Babin, Jay Fremin, and Robert Suire. ; Honorary pallbeaerers are Devon Briggs, Keegan Romero, Carsen Matthews, and Isaac Vice. ; A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Tuesday.
