Vida Guilbeau Patin

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, September 10, 2009, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Vida Alice Guilbeau Patin, 59, who died on Sunday, September 6, 2009. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Father Allen Breaux will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gifts will be presented to the Altar by Kale and Saylor Patin. Mrs. Patin was a member of the Ladies Altar Society, and was in charge of the Devine Mercy Chaplet. In her free time, Vida enjoyed baking, arts and crafts, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Paul Wayne Patin, of Breaux Bridge; her son, Chuck Jude Patin, of Breaux Bridge; her daughter, Danielle Rene Patin, of Breaux Bridge; two brothers, Jimmie Paul Guilbeau, Sr. and his wife, Joyce, and John Louis Guilbeau, Jr., all of Breaux Bridge; two sisters, Katherine Hebert and her husband, Riley, and Lisa Hebert and her husband, Shane, all of Breaux Bridge; 10 grandchildren, Cade Theriot, Casey Patin, Gage Patin, Juel Patin, Brannon Thibodeaux, Kale Patin, Saylor Patin, Ashton Theriot, Laike Theriot, and Regan Patin; and 1 great grandchild, Aiden Theriot. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nora Belle Guidry Guilbeau and John Louis Guilbeau, Sr.; her son, Harvey James Patin; a great grandson, Maddox Theriot; her maternal grandparents, Jean Charlie and Volina Guidry; and paternal grandparents, Sosthene and Angella Guilbeau. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. on Wednesday and continue until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Chuck Patin, Gage Patin, Juel Patin, Jimmie Guilbeau, Sr., Kale Patin, John Louis Guilbeau, Jr., and Michael Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be Rylan Hebert, Brannon Thibodeaux, Cade Theriot, and Casey Patin. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
