Vilson 'Bae Bae' Simon

Saint Martinville - Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, on Monday, April 6, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville, for Vilson Bae Bae Simon, 72, who passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in St. Martinville from 7:00 am until 10:15 am on Monday. Rev. F. C. Porter, Pastor of Rising Star Baptist Church in Louise TX, will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, in St. Martinville. He is survived by his sons, Eraste Michael Simon, Sr., Richard Simon, and Keith Simon; his daughters, Julia Savoy and husband, George and Melenia Simon; his sisters, Ethel Joseph and husband, Wallace Joseph, Sr. and JoAnna Egland and husband, David; his grandchildren, Kelly Simon, Eric Simon, Jeremy Patterson, Joy Miller, and Eraste Michael Simon, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Giselle Simon, Jamichael Patterson, and Jashan Patterson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Matthews Simon; his father, Morris Simon; his mother, Esther Virginia Porter Simon; his brother, Wilbert Simon, Sr.; and his nephew, Wallace Joseph, Jr. Bae Bae was meticulous when it came to his passion, Farming. He also worked in the oilfield and construction industries. Vilson enjoyed going to the horse track and watching baseball and boxing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and will be remembered by living life his way. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Patterson, Kyle Simon, Maurice Landry, Phil White, Nicholas Simon and George Savoy. Honorary pallbearers will be Wallace Joseph, Sr., Eric Simon, Eraste Michael Simon, Jr., Ennis Simon, Alley Porter, Wilbert Simon, Jr., David Egland, Harry Bourda and Herman Alexander.
