Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 13, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Vincent Joseph “Vee” Batiste, 57 years old, who passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Ochsner University Hospital & Clinics. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Friday, August 13, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m.Rev. George Ajuruchi, SSJ will officiate the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Danita Alexander and Tiffany James.Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2. Vincent Joseph “Vee” Batiste was born December 2, 1963, in Lafayette, Louisiana to the union of Agnes Demouchet-Batiste and the late McKinley J. Batiste. He was the baby boy of nine siblings. Vincent was a remarkable and selfless father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, godfather, and friend. He had a passion for socializing, dancing, cooking, baking, horse racing, and playing cards with family and friends. He cherished his family, especially his grandkids, and enjoyed spending time with them.
