Cecilia- Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, March 8, 2013, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Vincent Joseph Journet, 52, who passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Cecilia from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 am on Friday. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Vincent enjoyed attending the 'Super Saturday' functions, playing a good game of Bourr, and spending time with his family and friends. He was devoted to his faith and made sure that he never missed his Sunday Mass. He is survived by his mother, Vertna Glaude Simon; his daughter, Kelly Sam; two sisters, Brenda Journet and Marie Derouselle; his brother, Joseph A. (Laura Demouchet) Journet; and two grandchildren, Brooklyn Menard and Leigh Pitte, all of Breaux Bridge. He is preceded in death by his father, Bradley Journet.
