Breaux Bridge - Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Viola Marie Robin Thibodeaux, 94, who passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 8:00 am until 12:45 pm.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Wednesday.
Pastor Tony Lanclos will officiate at the Funeral Service and a prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 6:30 pm.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. In honor of her spirit, a rosary balloon was released by the sisters Loraine LeBlanc, Norma Morain, Nolia Allemond, Theresa Castille, Rita Savoie, Rita Courville, and Elaine Johnson.
She is survived by her sons, Milton Noel and wife, Willa Mae, Dalton Robin and wife, Leona, Tony Robin, Jr. and wife, Clara, and Jerry Robin and wife, Kay; her daughters, Nolia Allemond and husband, Stephen, Theresa Castille and husband, Gurphy, and Rita Savoie and husband, Floyd; her step-daughters, Loraine LeBlanc, Elaine Johnson, Rita Courville, and Norma Morain; her daughter-in-laws, Janet Robin and Ruby Robin; 59 grandchildren, 95 great grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Therese Hollier Noel; her first husband, Tony Robin, Sr.; her second husband, Noah Tool Thibodeaux; her son, Ernest Robin; step-sons, Aristille and Harold Robin; step daughters, Laura Robin, Gladys Hebert, and Loretta Boudreaux; a great granddaughter, Ciera LaFleur; her brothers, Joseph Raphael Noel, Joseph Alan Noel, Sr., Edwin Noel, Joseph Evans Noel, and Elie Joseph Noel; and her sisters, Uranie Breaux, Rose Landry, Marie Patin, and Velida Guidry.
Pallbearers will be Milton Noel, Dalton Robin, Tony Robin Jr., Jerry Robin, Chris Allemond, Gerald Castille, Rocky Savoie, and Dustin Robin.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Staff of J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home for their compassionate care and treating her like family. She was a caregiver to her family and raised many who were not her own. She had a special love for people and was a born again Christian at the age of 84.
