Virgie Copell

New Iberia ;- Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 21, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Virgie D. Copell, 77, who died on Saturday, January 19, 2013, in Lafayette. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Aaron Weido will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Survivors include her sons, Marc Copell and wife Cheryl of New Iberia, Doyle Copell and wife Jennifer of Youngsville; daughters, Sonya DePue of Broussard, Sherry Copell of Duson; brother, Rube Denise and wife Sandy of New Iberia; sister, Dianna Sonnier and husband Rodney of New Iberia; grandchildren, Colby Copell, Amy Kinsey, Skylar Trahan, Brittany Copell, Katlyn Copell, Kellams Copell; great grandchildren, Cameron Kinsey, Mali Kaye Kinsey, and Koah Copell. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Copell; parents, Theotise and Annie Suirew Denise; and a granddaughter, Bridget Copell. Pallbearers will be Doyle Copell, Marc Copell, Dwayne Gaskin, Darren Denise, Guy Copell, and Colby Copell.
