Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, July 12, 2007, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, in Breaux Bridge for Virgil Amy Hebert, 60, who died on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at Medical Center of Southwest LA in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Paul LaFleur, Pastor of St. Bernard Church, will conduct the services. ?Gift bearers will be Alicia Hollingsworth, Emily Hollingsworth, Meagan Richard, and Krislyn Daigle. Virgil Hebert: ?daughter, sister, mother. ?She made sure she was the best at everything she did. ?A parent couldn't ask for a better daughter, she was the best sister a friend could ask for and an unselfish, hardworking, caring, and sacrificing mother. ?Anyone who ever met her was touched by her vibrant spirit and wonderful smile. ?She will be forever missed. She was an honorary cancer survivor and fundraising participant in the ""Relay for Life"" for the past three years. Survivors include her mother, Marie Wiltz, of St. Martinville; two sons Anthony Lang and his fianc?e, Natalie Carroll, of St. Martinville, and Christopher Lang, of Lake Charles; four daughters, Lou Ella Daigle Hollingsworth and her husband, Tim, of Haslet, TX, Angela Daigle, of St. Martinville, Chantelle Hebert Daigle and her husband, Kelly, of Henderson, and Cassandra Lang, of St. Martinville; one sister, Mary White and her husband, Bob, of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Rufus Amy, Jr. and his wife, Jo Ann, of St. Martinville and Sosthene Amy and his wife, Beverly, of Henderson; her grandchildren, Brandon and Joshua Hawkins, and Meagan Richard, all of St. Martinville, Alicia and Emily Hollingsworth, both of Haslet, TX, and Kelby and Krislyn Daigle, both of Henderson; four nieces and four nephews; and someone she treasured as a daughter, Teena Curtis and her family, Tyreke Curtis, Tyler Curtis, and Trevon Neveu. She was preceded in death by her father, Rufus Amy, Sr.; her grandson, Blake Daigle; two sisters, Ophelia and Enola Amy; and her godchild, Michael Hebert. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue at 10 a.m. on Thursday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Christopher Lang, Anthony Lang, Brandon Hawkins, Joshua Hawkins, Cassandra Lang, and Rufus Amy, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Hollingsworth and Kelby Daigle. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
