VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, March 29, 2010, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Vivian Ann Richard Broussard, 70, who passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at her residence in Arnaudville. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Rev. Keenan W. Brown will conduct the services. Reader will be Crystal Steward Davis. Gift Bearers will be Breyonia Journet, Bianca Journet and Chelsey Wiltz. Vivian enjoyed gardening and soap operas in her spare time. On Sundays she could be found watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints. She loved her cats and loved watching hummingbirds through the window. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Broussard, Sr.; her sons, Gordon Broussard and Alfred Broussard, both of Arnaudville; her brothers, Vincent Journet, Sr., (Mary Sedonia) of Arnaudville and Lemon Paul Journet, (Barbara) of Youngsville; her sister, Mary Margaret Sampy of Arnaudville; her 5 grandchildren; and her 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Elina King Richard; her step father, Stanley Journet, Sr.; her sons, Ernest Broussard, Jr. and John Eldridge Broussard; her brothers Joseph, Earl, and Hilton Richard, Sr., and Lawrence Journet; her step brothers, Daniel Journet and Stanley Journet, Jr.; her step sisters, Mary Grace Journet and Ivory Lou Roy. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2010 and continue at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Pallbearers will be John Patrick Sampy, Jr., Randy Richard, Bryon Journet, Lemon Paul Journet, Clifton Powell, and John Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Gordon Broussard, Alfred Broussard, Gerald Powell, Ernest Powell, Paul Powell, and Michael Wiltz, Jr. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
