Parks - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at St. Louis Chapel in Parks honoring the life of Vivian Marie Wiltz, 79, who passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM on Saturday.
Father David Rozas will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Jenna Wiltz, Summer Wiltz and Felicia Champagne.
Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Vivian was known for her vivacious spirit and her unwavering commitment to those she held dear. Her passion for baking exquisite cakes brought happiness to countless family gatherings, where her culinary creations became a cherished tradition. In addition, Vivian had an adventurous side that led her to the vibrant atmosphere of the casino, where she relished moments of excitement and laughter.
A devoted parishioner of her church community, Vivian found peace and strength in her faith. She attended services regularly, drawing inspiration from her beliefs that further fueled her capacity for kindness and generosity. Her church family was an extension of her love for others, embodying the compassion she shared with everyone she encountered.
One of Vivian's greatest joys was her time spent with her nieces and nephews. These visits were filled with warmth, laughter, and an abundance of love, as she nurtured the bonds that tied her family together. Her generous nature and deep-rooted affection left an indelible mark on their hearts and created memories that will forever be treasured.
Vivian's legacy lives on, not just through the memories of her baked goods and spirited casino adventures, but through the love she cultivated in her family and community. She was a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to the power of love, generosity, and joy. Vivian Marie Wiltz will be deeply missed, but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her brothers, Peter Earl Wiltz and John Allen Wiltz (Lucretia); sister, Belva St. Julien; nephews, Blair Cordell Wiltz and John Victor Wiltz; niece, Jenna Clair Wiltz; and five great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Josephine St. Julien Wiltz.
Pallbearers will be Victor Wiltz, Blair Wiltz, Jenna Wiltz, Brad Hanks, Anthony St. Julien, and Mike Payne.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
