St. Martinville A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm, on Monday, May 14, 2018, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Waldo Joseph Borel Jr., 74, who passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in St. Martinville from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm on Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 am on Monday. Rev. Richard Fabre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Joseph Padinjarepeedika as Con-Celebrant. Readers will be Kim Langlinais, Kristy Borel and Gina Borel. Altar servers will be Emma and Erin Langlinais. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Guidry Borel; son, Craig Martin (Gina) Borel, Richard Scott (Kristy) Borel, and Michael Bradley (Rachel) Borel; his brother, Harold (Vel) Borel, Warren (Cathy) Borel, and Byron (Karen) Borel; sister, Verna Mae (Sydney) Hebert, Wanda (Pat) Thibodeaux, Brenda (Al) LeBlanc, Miranda (Ray) Judice; grandchildren, Christopher Borel, Stephen Borel, Jarrett Guidry, Blayne Guidry; and great grandchildren, Tripp Guidry, and Maddox Guidry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Waldo and Odile Henry Borel, Sr. and one grandchild, Matthew Borel. Pallbearers will be Craig Martin Borel, Richard Scott Borel, Michael Bradley Borel, Harold Borel, Christopher Borel, and Stephen Borel.
