Walter Courville

Cecilia- Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., on Friday, July 6, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Walter Courville, 80, who passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Friday at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be recited at 2 p.m. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Walter enjoyed horseback riding, going camping, barbecuing and drinking a few with his family and friends. Survivors include his son, Elgin Courville and his wife, Angie, of Florida; his daughter, Cynthia Willis of Georgia; his brother, Jessie Courville and his wife, Shirley; his sister, Rena Trahan; and several grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eluse and Blanche Courville; his son, Gary Courville, Sr.; his former wife, Noelie Hardy; his companion of 30 years, Gloria Berard; his brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Alma Courville; his sister and brother-in-law, Alma and Mulate Guidry; and his brother-in-law, Marion Trahan. Special thanks are sincerely extended to his son, Elgin and his wife, Angie; his granddaughter, Terry Kay; his nephew, Butch Courville and his wife, Lillian, and family; J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville, and Hospice of Crestview, Florida, for all their care and compassion given to him during his time of need.
