Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Wanda Sam, 57, who passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at River Oaks Retirement Manor in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Survivors include one son, Harold Sam, of Breaux Bridge; three daughters, Latravas Provost, Lawanda Sam, and Kelly Sam, all of Breaux Bridge; four brothers, Paul Sam, Jr. (Debra), Melvin Mac Sam, James Jimmy Sam (Shirley), and John Lester Sam, all of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Sandra Sam, of Breaux Bridge; 15 grandchildren, Jada, Jaseland, Jasiah, Brooklyn, Leigh, DeAnthony, Gannon, Nasian, Adrian, Brandon, Meshia, Labrenta, Hailey, Charisma, and Jajuan; one great grandchild, Chloe; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Sam, Sr. and Bernice Wiltz Sam; one brother, Henry Charles Sam; and one niece, Rachel Marie Sam. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home on Berard Street in Breaux Bridge, from 9 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
