Warren M. Bodin

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 15, 2018, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Warren M. Bodin, 65, who passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 4:53pm at Iberia Medical Center, after losing a 2 year battle with cancer. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday, and will continue on Monday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Sunday. Rev. Bill Melancon will be the Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Warren Mitchell Bodin was born on May 7, 1952 to the late Anthony and Nellie Carline Bodin. He was an avid fisherman, and worked in the oilfield for over 40 years. He enjoyed doing yard work, and was the best weed eater. He also enjoyed chopping wood, rock painting, and playing cards, but what he cherished most was spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Christine Guidry Bodin; daughters, Jessica Guidry of New Iberia, Belinda Eichor and husband Mark of New Iberia, and Crystal Lewis and husband Wilson Lewis, Jr. of Jeanerette; five grandchildren, Dustin Guidry, Hailey Guidry, Warren J. Bodin and fiance Alyssa Durke, Mariah Bob, and Jermaine Bob, Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Bentley and Brantley Guidry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Alvin, Wayne and Paul Bodin; son-in-law, Jermaine Bob, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Boniface and Laurence Delcambre Bodin; maternal grandparents, Red and Hester "Dutch" Daigle Carline; mother-in-law, Emily Martin Guidry; and father-in-law, Whitney Guidry, Sr. Pallbearers will be Dustin Guidry, Warren J. Bodin, Jermaine Bob, Jr., Mark Eichor, Wilson Lewis, Jr., Carol Landry, and Jacob Watson. Honorary pallbearers are Bentley and Brantley Guidry.
