Wayne Joseph Barras

St. Martinville - Wayne Joseph Barras, 54, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2007, at his residence in St. Martinville. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2007, at Pellerin Funeral Home, in St. Martinville. Wayne was a true horseman, who loved trail rides and riding motorcycles. ?He enjoyed drinking beer, listening to French music, and playing with his dogs, Hoo, Bud, and Fee Fee. ?He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his father, Sidney Barras, of New Iberia; his daughter, Misty Derouen; four brothers, Glenn Barras, of St. Martinville, Kurt Barras, of New Iberia, Roland Barras, of Baton Rouge, and John Barras, of Lafayette; and one sister, Claire Chataignier, of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eunice Courville Barras; and one brother, Kim Barras. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
