Wayne P. Laneaux

Cecilia - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for Wayne P. Laneaux, 67, who passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at The Calcutta House in Lafayette.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 3:30 pm until 9:00 pm. It will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm.

Pastor Thomas Bihm will officiate at the Funeral Service. 

Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

Wayne was known for his strong faith, kind heart, and infectious laughter. He was a devoted member of Submerge Family Church, where he proudly served on the worship team as a drummer, sharing his love for music and worship with the congregation.

He cherished his role as a loving family man, finding joy in spending quality time with his family, especially his beloved dog, Duke. Wayne was the kind of person who made friends with everyone he met, and his caring nature resonated deeply with those lucky enough to know him. He had a unique ability to make people laugh, spreading joy wherever he went.

Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Dore' Laneaux; sons, Ryan Laneaux (Sabrina) and Shawn Laneaux (Yilda); daughter, Dodie Laneaux; grandchildren, Sydney Laneaux, Alexis Theriot, Kaiden Dobbs, Kaison Dobbs and Brilee Jewell; sister, Deidra Huval; and brother, Troy Laneaux (Angela).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Laneaux and Lula Belle Prejean Laneaux; niece, Ashley Fournet; brother-in-law, Thomas Huval; paternal grandparents, Pierre and Antoinette Laneaux; and maternal grandparents, Leo and Euclecia Prejean.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Laneaux, Shawn Laneaux, Brandon Laneaux, Larry Dore', Troy Laneaux and Luke Castille.
