Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., on Saturday, June 7 2008, at St.Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Wilbert LeBlanc, Sr., 72, who passed away on Monday, June 2, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Rev. James Fallon, pastor of St. Francis of Assisi Church, will conduct the services.
Mr. LeBlanc enjoyed working in the yard and on tractors. ?He also loved to go hunting. ?He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 53 beautiful years, Shirley Mae Jones LeBlanc; his sons, Wilbert LeBlanc, Jr., Michael Joseph LeBlanc and his wife, Carla, and Donald R. LeBlanc all of Breaux Bridge; his sisters, Joyce Landry, Barbara Landry, Jacklyn Francis and Priscilla Broussard all of Breaux Bridge, Drucella Ricks of Hammond, and Theresa Landry of Houston, TX; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade Demouchet and Eula Landry; twin sons, Curley and Kirby LeBlanc; his brothers, Carroll, Darrell and Terry Landry and his sister, Marjorie Edmond.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2008 and continue at 7:00 a.m.until 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Sha-var Francis, Alton Francis, Michael Landry, Freddie Ricks, Sokiro Landry and Leroy Broussard.
Pellerin Funeral Home, Carver St. Chapel, Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
