Wilbert Thibodeaux

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, June 21, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Wilbert "Papit" Thibodeaux, 72, who passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at his residence. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Reverend Fr. Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Catholic Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass and conduct the service. The readers will be his godchildren Elaine T. Johnson and Pam Ardoin. Mr. Thibodeaux was an auto mechanic and body repairman for over 50 years and was former member of the U. S. Army National Guard. He was a member of the Lake Berard Hunting Club for many years. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Johnson Thibodeaux, of Breaux Bridge; two sons, Ricky Thibodeaux and wife, Cindy S., of Hendersonville, TN, and Kevin Thibodeaux, of Breaux Bridge; three daughters, Debbie Thibodeaux, Sandie Thibodeaux, and Vickie Thibodeaux, all of Breaux Bridge; one brother, Wilson Thibodeaux and one sister, Mary Louise Pen, both of Breaux Bridge; four grandchildren, Amanda Thibodeaux, Chris Thibodeaux, Katy Thibodeaux, and Shalynn Laviolette; two great grandchildren, Cody Johnson and Carter Thibodeaux and his mother-in-law, Hazel H. Johnson, of Breaux Bridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcee and Theresa LeBlanc Thibodeaux; a brother, Percy Thibodeaux; and his father-in-law, Wilbert Johnson. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue at 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Kevin Thibodeaux, Troy Johnson, Chris Thibodeaux, Dirk Thibodeaux, Teddy Pen, Earl Robin, Shaun Johnson, Richard Theriot, and Shane Landry. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Thibodeaux, Wilson Thibodeaux, Steve Johnson, Paul Johnson, Theodore Pen, Bobby Theriot, Malcolm Landry, Earles Belaire, and William LeBlanc. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
