BreauxBridge - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Wilfred Lalonde, 84, who passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011. Fr. Paul LaFleur will officiate at the funeral Mass. Gift Bearers will be Kristen Foster, Hanna Landry, and Nicole Foster. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 - Mausoleum in Breaux Bridge. Mr. Lalonde served in the United States Army from February 28, 1946 until his honorable discharge on August 8, 1947. Survivors include three sons, Malcolm Landry and wife, Katherine, Dwight P. Landry and wife, Michael Lee, and Charles Foster and wife, Beth, all of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Cecile F. Angelle and husband, Ronnie, of Cecilia, and Lisa Marie Foster of Breaux Bridge; two sisters, Margie L. Latiolais and husband, Gerald, of Breaux Bridge, and Geraldine 'Dean' LaGrange of Arnaudville; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude LeBlanc Lalonde; his parents, Regis and Pauline Devillier Lalonde; three brothers, infant George Allen Lalonde, Leo Lalonde, and Wilbert Frank Lalonde; his sister, Elsie Sanders; his grandson, Matthew Angelle; and his brother-in-law, Rudolph LaGrange. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday and continue at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Freddie Foster, Myles Foster, Malcolm Landry, Corey Angelle, Ronnie Angelle, and Kerry Latiolais. Pellerin Funeral Homeof BreauxBridge is in charge of arrangements.
