Wilfred Lewis Sr.

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 8, 2006, at ?Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Wilfred J. Lewis, Sr., 80, who died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at Iberia Medical Center. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery ?in St. Martinville. Mr. Lewis was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. ?Navy and he was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Louise Pierre Lewis of St. Martinville; his son, Wilfred J. Lewis, Jr., and his wife, Andre' of Las Vegas; his daughters, Celestine George and her husband, William of St. Martinville, Diane Thibodeaux and her husband, Robert of Port Arthur, TX, Katherine Lewis of Galveston, TX, and Beverly Gallow and her husband, Jimmie of Lafayette; his brother, Joseph Lewis of Houston, TX; his sisters, Mary Charles of St. Martinville, Virginia Menard, Daisey Pierre, and Stella Lindon, all of Houston, TX; eleven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezebe and Georgiana Champ Lewis; and his sisters, Edna Lewis, Serena Patterson and Georgiana Charles. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 p.m. till 10:00 p.m. on Sunday; and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
