Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Willa Mae "Toot" Knott, 77, who passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the Cecilia funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Wednesday. Rev. John Joseph will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Chaz Roberts and Kameron Knott and Gift bearers will be Karli Knott, Kain Guidry, Chloe Brown and Cooper Brown. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Willa Mae, better known to many as, "Toot", was born February 1, 1944, in Breaux Bridge. She was a woman of immense faith and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Her love for her family was unconditional. Toot was the matriarch of her family and cherished times spent with them all. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Richard Knott; son, Kenneth Knott (Myra); daughters, Kathy Guidry (Mark), Karen Brown (Chris), and Katina Knott; grandchildren, Chaz Roberts (Beth), Kain Guidry, Kameron Knott, Karli Knott, Chloe Brown, and Cooper Brown; great grandchildren, Luke Roberts and Jake Roberts; and her sisters, Rose Green and Jane LeBlanc. She was preceded in death by her parents, Odon and Clara Blanchard LeBlanc; sisters, Viola Menard and Helen Lasseigne; and her brothers, Dorcineau P. LeBlanc, Ernest “Neg” P. LeBlanc, and Richard J. LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Knott, Mark Guidry, Chaz Roberts, Kain Guidry, Kameron Knott, Cooper Brown, and Chris Brown. The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and staff with the Heart Hospital of Lafayette and the Bridgeway Hospice staff, especially Ms. Lorraine, for the exceptional care given to Toot.
