Willard Miller

Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2005, at St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Willard "Pete" Miller, 85, who died Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Burial will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Mr. Miller was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Pacific Fleet during World War II. Survivors include two sons, Ted Miller of Arnaudville and Ben Miller of Memphis, TN; six daughters, Janelle Carter of Elizabethton, TN, Wilda Young of Greensboro, NC, Florence Ziegler of Lafayette, Stella Olivier of Houston, TX, Catherine Fruge of League City, TX, and Ellen Savoie of Keller, TX; two brothers, Herbert Miller of Arnaudville and Roger Miller of Leonville; three sisters, Mrs. Louis (Alma) Stelly of Arnaudville, Mrs. George (Lou Ella) Dekerlegand of Arnaudville, and Mrs. Curly (Elda) Robin of Port Barre; and sixteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Kidder Miller; his parents, Joseph Miller and Helen Arnaud Miller; two brothers, Gerald and Carroll Miller; and four sisters, Alida M. Ray, Lillian M. Hebert, Edna Miller, and Louise M. Arnaud. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4 PM - 10 PM on Thursday and continue at 7 AM on Friday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM on Thursday evening. Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville is in charge of arrangements.
