William J. 'Billy' Ahysen, Jr.

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge, for William J. Ahysen Jr. "Billy", 80, who passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015, at his residence surrounded by family. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until time of service on Saturday. Pastor Louis Charrier will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Methodist Cemetery in St. Martinville. Billy enjoyed playing steel guitar and recording country and gospel music with his loving wife of 59 years. He was a major collector and loved mechanics. He spent every weekend at the jockey lot with his children and friends. Billy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving spouse, Frances Pellegal Ahysen; daughters, Terrie L. Reagle and husband Michael of Lafayette, La, Deneen A. Giles and husband Johnny of Comer, Ga; son, Rick Ahysen, Sr. and wife Nita of Waggaman, La; grandchildren, Travis L. Faircloth, Tasha D. Lamson, Tinka A. Barrios, Jonathan H. Giles, Jr., Teela L. Meche, David W. Giles, Ricky Ahysen, Jr., Shaine Ahysen; 19 great-grandchildren, Robyn, Timothy, Leia, Annalise, Pierce, Ellie, Trey Gabriel, Haylee, Gage, Wyatt, Cullen, Sharla, Ryder, Dalton, Kaylee, Deven, Lennon, Gavin, Isabelle and the twentieth is on the way; three brothers; and three sisters. He was preceded in death by father, William J. Ahysen, Sr. and mother, Grace Mae Hall.
