William 'Jimmy' Derise

New Iberia - A Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for William "Jimmy" Derise, 68, who passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, in New Iberia. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Monday. Deacon Durk Viator will lead the Rosary. Interment will be at a later date. A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Derise was born on September 24, 1949 to the late Nolton and Mary Stroud Derise. He worked as a supervisor at Carbo Ceramics, and enjoyed bowling, golf, LSU Football, and the New Orleans Saints. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice Verret Derise; daughter, Amanda Derise of New Iberia; step-son, Ronnie Louviere and wife Nicole of New Iberia; step-daughter, Jamie Menard and husband Nick of Erath; grandchildren, Caitlyn Derise, Brianna Menard, Victoria Menard, Gracie Menard, Olivia Menard, Jake Peters, and Jace Peters; and a brother, N.C.
